Video Showcase:
Level BreakDown: The level is broken up into 5 different rooms. The Engine Room, Thruster Room, Ventilation Room, Ship Bridge and the Center Fuel Storage Room. Each room is designed to favor the weapon that is placed in their respective location.
Engine Room: The engine room is located in the rear of the map. It contains the ASMD Shock Rifle and it's placed in a room that overlooks the shield belt on a ramp outside. If a player sees someone going for the shield belt, they can shoot enemies off the ramp or use the secondary ability to zone the enemy off the belt while the lack of oxygen kills them.
Thruster Room: The Thruster Room is located in the center right of the map. The room holds the rocket launcher and is spacious for the player to move around freely in. The intent behind this is to force the player who is using the rocket launcher to lead their shots to kill someone. They can also use the secondary fire of the weapon which locks on to an enemy if the player can stay on target for 3 seconds and finally if a player cant hit the target directly they can shoot the ground around their targets. The room also has vents above it where it connects to the Center Fuel Storage Room. When a player is standing on top of the vents, they are sitting ducks for the rocket launcher. Players below can fire rockets at the wall behind the vent causing area of effect damage.
Ventilation Room: The ventilation room is located on the center left of the map. The room houses the flak cannon and is in a less spacious area. There are two pillars in the room which offers players who enter the room cover, however, if the player with flak cannon is holding the room, they can fire shots that ricochet off the wall and hit the players behind cover. The giant vent on top of the room that connects to the middle is a fast and easy way to enter the room. The trade off is the player who is in the vent is stuck in a small space, if an enemy were to use the secondary fire of the flak cannon into the vent, it would most likely cause major damage to whoever is in the vent.
Ship Bridge: The Ship Bridge is located on the top of the map. It contains the grenade launcher and has 2 ramps that lead down to the grenade launcher from the entrance. Players also have the ability to teleport into this room after they grab the shield belt. This room was the optimal choice for the teleport location from the shield belt because it acts as a trade off. If the enemy knows a player grabbed the shield belt, they know exactly where to ambush them.
Center Fuel Storage Room: The Center Fuel Storage Room acts a connector for all the rooms of the map. It contains no weapons, but it offers the fastest and safest route to the shield belt. Upstairs has small armor power up, which acts as a trade off. If a player gets a shield belt, another player can get the smaller armor upgrade so they still stand a chance in a fire fight. The room has small health vials and 2 medium health packs. This also acts as a catch up mechanic allowing a player to have 50 extra armor and 85 extra health, if the enemy gets a shield belt. Finally, the room has small ammo packs so if a player needs to replenish their ammo, they can do so in this room.
Shield Belt Room: This room takes place under the ship and is outside in space. It has doors that open every 45 seconds for 10 seconds. If a player is outside, they take 5 damage to their health every second because of oxygen deprivation. The shield belt has three entrances. One from the Center Fuel Storage Room on top, the Thruster Room from the right and the Ventilation Room from the left. The two entrances from right and left are the longer paths to the shield belt and are dangerous because a player can get knocked off the ledge from a shock rifle shot in the engine room. The center room entrance drops right on the belt and then a player can teleport out.
